STC Explorator Fleet - January Edition

Welcome to the first STC Explorator Fleet! For 2013 the STC crew wanted to get closer with the community and spread the wealth that blogs have to offer. There's an endless amount of talent out there, yet so many blogs and/or posts go without notice and are lost to the Warp forever. Until now. The Tech-Priests of STC have started their own Explorator Fleet in order to reclaim some great posts that might have been lost to so many. So, from now on, at the end of every month the STC crew will gather up some of the coolest and most inspirational articles from around the blog-o-sphere.

Eye of Error
Legion 9 Studios - Renegade Gaurd
Legion9Studios is the work of Donz0, a very talented and not often publicly exposed painter. His blog has been steadily growing Since July 2011 and features several very awesome paint jobs of mostly Imperial and Traitor units. His New Renegade Guard are certainly worth checkin out especially for all you heretics out there.

Pimp My World - Beastman Vignette
Wow, DarkKnight really pulled through on this new vignette. The atmosphere, painting, textures, and scenic elements are all amazing! You can see them I especially love the deamonette looking creature lurking under the flooring. See more amazing work HERE.

Citizensmith
Guardsman's Guide to Glory - Legio Custodes
Non-metallic metals are one of the harder techniques to get good at.  Arguably they are less necessary now we have decent metallic paints, but it can sometimes be just the look you are going for.  Here A Guardsman's Guide to Glory has a decent and detailed explanation of how they achieved a nice gold effect.

Corvus' Miniatures - Toxic Kid
Not a lot of info about this one, I just got caught by its simplicity.  A nicely done piece of work in the form of Toxic Kid

Lantz M
Ringil - Latest Works
A post of few words (not that I could understand them anyway,) but this post among many on this blog are some great eye candy. I'm especially fond of the miniature pictured above.

Bigtank Armor - FT17 WIP
One of many massive projects for this blog. The rust work and realism on some of these projects blows my mind, and this one is no exception. Side note: Google Translate does wonders for my entries this month.

HOTPanda
Home of Cadaver - HELL(drake)...it's about time!
Cadaver is a legend in the making who is rarely seen in the lime light.  His recent abomination of a creation is straight from the depths of hell and will be giving me nightmares for many nights to come.  Not only is his Helldrake conversion unreal but the paint job that he saturated his Frankenstein in is jaw dropping to say the least.

Drkmorals
Samson Mini's - Finished! Dark Vengeance HQ's
In honor of the new Dark Angels Codex I thought I would kick my picks off with a some Finished DA HQ's from the Vengence box. Samson does mini's for sake of painting, then normally sells of several pieces on ebay. The amount of quality work pumped out is always inspiring though and its a site I always pop in on to see what new project is brewing.

2nd City WarZone - Adepticon WIP shots
I always like to see something helpful and inspiring at the same time. So if you have a few minutes this is a quick article about adding arches to buildings with a simple trick that you may not have thought of. It's always a plus when you find great hobby uses for stuff you have sitting around already.  Keep up the great work Nick!
