The hatred runs deep...deep into my veins...coursing through my flesh and bone. Boiling my blood and churning my flesh. There is no end, means or reasons for my internal hate. It is as much apart of me as the blistering sun is as part of the sky. It has resided in me since the birth of my existence. My life has flowed with the ebb of it lust for blood. Smouldering amongst a whirl wind of acrid smoke and anger. Inwards I direct it towards the damnation of my soul. Unleashing my eternal hell through the end of barrel. Leaving nothing behind but the legacy of my wrath.
The myth the sanity that I left behind is the stranger who shares the bed in my room. A bitter old baster who drags me down into the filth of his mind. Corrupting and twisting the visions of my work into the images that fester behind his skull. I try to pay it no heed but its' twisted ways contort the fate of my free will. Alone I am left with nothing. Together we possess the power to melt and corrupt the entire imperium.
The essence of this model was captured within the visage that came before my very eyes. Straight from the depths of purgatory itself. This is but the first step of many for the inner workings of my mind continue to grind away at the stone. Lacking an inner fortitude of chaos it sits in a limbo of its own making. Waiting and fester away at both our souls. My wrath begins to boil.

Welcome to the final installment of my series where I dip my toe into the waters of actual painting skills. In Part 4 I'll show you a couple of models I've done since Mr. Cuddles and where I've made improvements. This won't be as long of an article as the previous posts in this series, but I will try and get as much detail as I can with the pictures I have. Side note; I should consider the title Photography Noob for my next series. Anywho, more after the jump!

Instead of shouting out the details of the contest and encouraging you to be inspired and enter for free stuff. (All things I can easily do with a link at the end of the post) Let's take a look at some Secret Weapon Miniatures products in review, and in use to see what you can cash in on as a contest winner. Perhaps some inspiration awaits in the links that follow.

Lost in the madness of discontent I began to foam at the mouth. Blinded from the resentment of what what lurked behind the filth, I had to have what they were hiding from me. Unable to comprehend the ether-scape of the world around me, I stumble into the darkness. Relying on my other senses I cautiously looked for a way into their rooms. Their rooms though possessed untold items of corruption. I longed to caresses them in my delicate finger tips. I longed to taste the acidic oder that each of them gave off. Creeping deeper into the chaos I hunted for an opening that would grant me access; nothing presented itself though. If I could not have the happiness that each of these items gave them then I would destroy all that stood before me and my envy.

Welcome back. Apparently this is becoming a weekly segment. A segment in which I try as hard as I can to get a post out during the morning, fail, weep and eventually manage to push it out in the evening. In Part 2 I left you about half-way through my progress with my Slaanesh Cultist named Mr. Cuddles. In the next article I'll show you what came of my second model for whom I don't have a name, yet. But for today's article, let's finish up Mr. Cuddles and talk about improvements to be made and what I do and don't like about the finished product. More after the jump.

part one I focused on the base for my test model. This time I'm going to start on the Slaanesh Cultist model itself, which if you recall I have dubbed Mr. Cuddles for the duration of this series. I'd like to start by saying the best way to start out as a "noobie painter" is to not practice. What I mean by this is use this beautiful thing called the internet to read, watch and listen. I'm constantly browsing through the numerous tutorials from Ron at FTW (link) despite not having a paint brush in-hand. You'll be surprised by how much some of it sticks in your brain.

The essence of life ebbs and flows with the warp itself. Under the Eye of Terror it transfixes its' gaze upon you. Infusing you hatred and malediction it calls out for you in the night. Wanting nothing more than your loyal servitude it entices you with promises of unfathomable rewards. To wet your palette the Standard Template Construct along with Secret Weapon Miniatures wants to give you the chance to win not one but two TWO $50.00 gift certificates for Secret Weapon Miniatures. In order to be gifted with one of these two chaos boons all you have to do is:

Only in the darkest of times are the Dreadnaughts of the Grey Knights chapter awoken by the Master Armourers. Silently they slumber in the Chapter's chamber of hero's until they are called upon to serve once more upon a battle field so far from salvation that the wisdom, experience, and undying will are needed once more. The Dreadnaught is a wealth of combat experience and is easily able to adapt to any needed battle field role from long range support, to spearheading assaults, and it not uncommon for a Dreadnaught of the Grey Knight order to assume command of detachments allowing the Brother Captain to focus his attention else where.

I'm not what you'd call a very talented painter. I have little experience and less techniques in my noggin. So when I say I'm a painting noob, I really want that to sink in. Just take a look at my Necron army and you can see that my skills barely stretch beyond dry-brushing and highlighting. However, with the new CSM codex released, I really wanted a great looking, fluffy Slaanesh army with custom bases and all the bells and whistles. So after a few weeks of asking all the advice I could from local and distant sources I decided to start on my first mini for the CSM (a Cultist) and make record of my journey to share with all of you. So let's get started.

The 12 Days of Chaos are over and our contest has just begun, but what's in store for our readers for the coming days? Lantz here, and I've got a few things lined up for you all. First I'll have a new series called "The Painting Noob". This is a series where I explore the possibilities of, and quickly cannonball into the deep end of the painting pool (aside from my excess of dry brushing and highlighting I've already gone through). In the coming days I'll also have a couple of my armies for sale as I try to make room/money for an upcoming CSM project, but I'd like to discuss the story behind these armies and the playstyles I used with them. All of that and more are coming up soon from yours truly on STC!
The darkness clouds the mind when you walk out of the light for 12 days in search of knowledge. The 12 days of chaos is now behind us but the Standard Template Construct isn't ready to turn its attention elsewhere just yet. To truly celebrate all that is evil and new with our hobby we felt now was the best time to kick off our first contest. A contest you say Drkmorals? Why yes a chance to flex your hobby muscles and be rewarded for showing off just as the Chaos God’s would want you to.
What have you done for Chaos lately? Well UNCLE Abaddon Wants YOU!!!!!!
